Sure Conrad Nix went 4-7 & 6-5 in the two years he coached at Albertville. If he was the best they have had in the past 35 years.....Albertville must really suck.
I don't know where you got that info, but it's not correct. I don't remember the record my sophomore year, but his last year (my Junior year) we were 8-3, County champs, 2nd in the area and lost in the first round of the playoffs. If you don't believe me, I can dig the stat sheets out of storage and post them for all of Albertville to see. Albertville has had teams with better records, but not many of them. He had a very good coaching staff and if he had been allowed to continue to coach, he would have had a good career. We were an all white 6A school then. 8-3 is pretty damned salty for a bunch of hillbilly crackers playing 6A ball. . Sure....post em up
