Yes, that's the primary reason for going with a pistol is trying to keep it shorter with a silencer attached.

If you want to try subsonics, get some loaded Makers or Lehigh. Understand that this is practically the same as bowhunting with similar trajectories and lethality assuming you can get expansion.
