So you pour concrete on back fill? I'm not doing that, I could see it settling and cracks forming. I thought it had an advantage with access to pipes. Thanks. You are going to have some backfill (mine is gravel red clay base) anyway on a slab. If its packed correctly and tied into the block wall correctly you should have no issues. No issues with mine after 27 yrs and looks so much better raised up some and NOT built on grade and it should be a lot drier than one built right on the ground. If you do use a slab be sure to put a vapor barrier under it EVERYWHERE including the carport if you have one. You may want to enclose it one day. BTW I personally don't like finished concrete floors for a home. I would tile my whole house if I had it to do again.
