With its design, you can probably do true indirect heat for smoking, like Primo grills have. No need for a heat deflector. Really, a superior design to BGE.

In reality this really isn't true because with the Primo grills the end closest to the firebox will be hotter than the opposite end. Also every Primo grill I've dealt with had cool spots in the corners due to how they circulate air. This is why the round shape is so efficient at keeping a stable temp throughout the entire cooking area. The downside to that is it isn't as handy when fitting ribs and long cuts of meat.
