I dont know much of anything about hunting down there. What makes it so tough? Just curious.

The hardest part for me when I hunted it was just how demanding the terrain was. Any sort of rain and you will be walking in water part of the time. I hunted the bear island section mainly and was always on foot which I believe was the main factor for not having much success. I lived down there for 5 years and every year I’d go get spanked for a few days before heading to private land to pop an Osceola.
It has birds and a lot of people have success who know how to get around down there. If you like the thrill of possibly being hunted while hunting than it’s the place for you....
