Serious question... Has your son done any kind of hunting? Ever killed anything?

Of all the things that come with hunting, patience can be the hardest thing to learn. I think alot of folks can overdue it with a young hunter.. A lot of boredom when it comes to actually "hunting" deer. I would suggest starting on something that is a little more fast paced, like squirrel hunting. Too often, success is gauged by killing or not and with deer hunting, its easy to get frustrated. Squirrel hunting is great because it helps kids get used to using all their senses... Picking up movement, listening, marksmanship and above all, patience. Its also a great way to get out and scout, learn the woods and observe what's going on without all the seriousness that comes with deer hunting.
