My son was siting on a food plot yesterday evening.
At five PM a fawn came out of the woods into the plot looking tired and worn out. The deer looked back into the woods and made a half circle and ran back into the woods further down wind then where it came out at. My son thought a coyote was chasing her and picked up his rifle as a large boar hog came out with his nose on the ground and trotted out into the field in the same tracks the deer had traveled. As he turned to leave trailing the deer my son shot him. He was 235LBS.
We believe he was trying to run the deer down. I believe that between the hogs, coyote and the EHD this has caused the fewer deer sightings in our area!
What say you? Was the Hog looking for a easy meal?
