I remember when Chizik thought he was a lifer.
Actually, I like Chizik. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if we hired him back....as defensive coordinator. Chiz was one of the best coaches Auburn has ever had. Win the only Championship in 50 yrs and get booted. Dang Family feuds. I liked when Doug Barfield was there. I met coach Barfield a few years ago at a high school in Shelby county. He was then selling athletic equipment. We talked for about thirty minutes and I really enjoyed it. Super nice man. I’ve also met Malzahn, Chizik, Jay Jacobs and Trooper Taylor when working an assignment at AU. All nice folks. Watched spring practice early every morning at the track and field complex after the 2010 national championship season as well.
