Y'all are looking at this all wrong. Gus is a finalist for coach of the year for successfully managing to survive this season and not get fired. Everyone was betting he'd have been fired by now. It takes a superior coach to realize that he's a total DA and actually step back and let his coordinators call the games. He has occasionally inserted his own DA play calls (obvious when he does) but for the most part has taken a backseat for the last 4 weeks.


Gus is a much better playcaller than Rhett Lashley or Chip Lindsey. He can call plays whenever he wants.


I don't understand why people want to say that Auburn's shortcomings are people meddling in other people's business (i.e., Gus, Pat Dye, etc.) I think it is a far reach for people who don't know any better.
