I was slipping into the woods before daylight this morning and decided to walk over and check to see if any hogs had visited my trap. To my delight, there was what looked like 10-12 hogs in the trap. I went on into the swamp and with my climber to deer hunt and decided to get the hogs after my hunt.

When I came out, I noticed there were three hogs on the outside of the trap not wanting to leave their mom and siblings. I basically drove my four wheeler right past them and went to my truck to get a 22 rifle and pistol. Returned and sure enough they were still outside the trap. I dropped two of them but the third ran off in the woods before I could put a shot on him.

Overall, we have 10 less hogs (one big boar, one sow and 8 piglets) to worry about now. But they did manage to root up about 1/3 of one of my plots before going into the trap.
