It takes more time than you think to do it right. It takes me a couple of hours to set traps and you have to check them daily. Plan on resetting after each good rain. With that said, it is fun and aggravating at the same time. It is a lot of fun to pull up and see something in the trap. You can learn as you go but the coyotes are learning your habits as well. Me too. I started out great back in the spring but once it got hot I said to hell with it until it cools off again. I was sweating like crazy making my sets and in no way controlling scent as a result. I literally had sweat dripping off of me. I need to set some out here at home now really. I've got a couple on camera recently and heard a whole pack howling the other night really close. I think yotes being in an area likely effects deer behavior.....just a different form of "pressure" or stress.
