Cows live outside their meat is hot and it takes a while to butcher one. Shoot the deer well, go get it within 30 minutes clean it and the temperature of the meat does not change any I would not think. I don't think you would have any difference in the taste or quality of the meat unless you cooled it off then warmed it back up. Also it's bow season, lots of deer even on public land to be killed close to a road this time of year with acorns
