I'm not going to bash you but I strongly disagree with this. In both cases he went against what he swore to do (follow the law) because he knew the laws, or rulings, were not popular in Alabama and he could parlay that into political clout. It turns out it became quite profitable, monetarily, for him also. In other words, he went with what he knew would be the popular opinion in Alabama.

I'm going to have a hard time voting for either one.
