One thing I haven't seen y'all mention yet though is this is only for Rec Leagues. This rule doesn't apply to Travel Ball leagues. At least that's what I'm told. My kids are out of the baseball scene now but I have several friends that coach travel all and one friend who is a league director. They all tell me it will only apply to the park leagues. In my opinion though, yes, this is strictly to sell more bats. New regulations come out every few years.
