Uhhh, dude already told him he cashed his money orders and gave the money to some chick!! Which is a lie, he actually just cashed them and him and the guy you actually thought you were buying a scope from split your funds.

They use things like scopes for this scam on purpose - they know there are some really expensive ones out there, they know gun/scope/hunting fanatics like us save up money to make these kind of purchases and we're always looking for a good deal. Plus, scopes are small and all over the country, something that could typically be purchased in the manner it is being purchased here. And they also expect that 98% of the folks, are just going to drop it, accept the fact they were scammed and move along.
