I went to the Mississippi State Turkey Calling Championships with Tony and he won 1st place with his new Bloodstone Slate, 1st place with his new Bloodstone Crystal, and 2nd in the box call division.

The contest was held at the Mossy Oak Store in West Point Mississippi. Tony was judging the calling contests and that left me to man the desk and sell Calls. We sold a ton of calls.

Toxie Haas came over right after Tony had walked off at one point. Toxie actually ran every call we had on the table. he was just going on and on about Tony's skills as a call maker...he literally said that thatbTony has a, "Gift from God". Finally he selectied a call and two strikers. When I told him we weren't taking his money and he could keep the calls he wasn't having it.

He said, "I have been waiting and waiting for Tony to walk away so I could BUY some stuff from you, Tony won't ever take my money but I wanna pay!"

Toxie can obviously get calls from anyone but to see him in awe of Tony was just amazing.

I had a great time and made a few new friends.
