There's a group on YouTube called budget bucks outdoors that filmed solely on public ground in NC and VA. Haven't checked to see if they are still putting stuff on there lately. Those dudes hunt the reeeeallly mountainous parts of NC and VA but do take some nice ones. Id say that filming hunts that folks want to watch almost would be impossible if most of these tv personalities had to do it on public ground in the southeast.

If I hit the powerball tonight then I might make that my job for a few years just to see if I could do it. It would take weeks of scouting different areas to find good setups on public land that would produce bucks people would want to see taken on tv. Not to mention finding someone crazy enough to tag along all season and film.
