Seed heads seen in spring have nothing to do with seed vs feed wheat. OK. I'll admit I'm not an expert so can you elaborate? The following spring after we planted feed wheat we saw hardly any wheat heads. The following spring after we planted certified seed our fields were covered with wheat heads. I took that as evidence that the certified seed germinated better than the feed wheat. What am I missing?
