Buck forage oats, daikon radish and imperial white clover. I'd spend the rest on ferilizer and lime. Exactly, my friend and neighbor is a retired agronomist/professor. He developed Buck Forage oats. I've seen what goes into his serious work and can vouch for him. He recommends Daikon radishes. These crops may not work as well in certain areas of the country but should be the best thing in north Fla. and south GA. and I would assume south Ala. I track for him and his family on their 800 acre farm near my place and his test plots are immaculate.
