25 years ago it would have been easy to find someone with a big stick type truck to come in and cut them. Now, all those guys have been put out of business by the Man. Finding someone to do a first thinning on 40 acres can be very challenging now.

I'm afraid the day will soon come when a small landowner won't be able to get his timber cut for any price.


All the labor of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.
