I didn't catch a whole lot of fish but this guy sure was fun on a medium rod. Swimming a worm in scattered grass in 6-8 feet. Buddy of mine told me to try swimming the worm. They didn't knock the snot out of it. Rod just kinda got heavy. If it stayed in place, you were in thick weeds. If it started moving, you had a fish. It was nice from 6:00-9:00, then it got HOT out there.
