Hard to beat a duramax and Allison transmission. I drive a LTZ 2500HD with the LML duramax for my personal truck and running around looking at and bidding jobs. I work it a little, pulling burning rigs, skid steers, and smaller tractors, maybe around 14k or 16k lbs with trailer at the most. I have a 3500HD for my work tuck. Got 2 dozers I move around with it, deere 650j( 20,500ish lbs) and a
cat D5k2(22,000ish lbs). Sometimes I'll have a root rake on the trailer as well or 3, maybe 4 fourwheelers during burning season. The truck has an aluminum flat bed with a 30gal air compressor, montezuma tool box full of tools, and 100 gallon off road fuel tank on it. Usually with truck, trailer, and a dozer that duramax and Allison transmission is moving 40,000-43,000 lbs, and I'll do that several days a week, when I'm burning maybe everyday. I've never owned a Dodge or Ford, not saying I never will but for now I'm gonna stick with Chevy or GMC.
