Coached softball a long time. Always told the kids and parents if you don't want the umpires to decide the game, don't let them. There were lots of pitches before that one.
Swing the dang bat! No body came to the game to watch an umpire, unless their mother shows up to see her baby work. Then we have different issues to address. Don't let him/her be the focus. Once again, if it is close, swing the bat! This is just a general statement on softball and baseball from my point of view.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
