You better go get in a shop and really learn how to weld. Only thing those schools teach you is how to pass a weld test. Just because a person can pass a weld test doesn't mean they can weld. Best thing you can do is stay local in a fab shop for a few years before you even think about hitting the road Been in a fab shop for a year
