Good question!

My point is that you get more surface area on hilly terrain, not less. Acres are measured as a horizontal measurement. An acre is an acre. But you would have more ground surface area on land with terrain as compared to flat ground. Some may say you get more acres, but technically you get more surface area. It would take a bigger blanket to cover a hilly 40 acres than a blanket to cover a flat 40.
