So we get to our spot and listen, it's still dark, and there's some cows kept in this block of pines. Still before first light, an owl hoots & the Gobbler fires off! He's only about 100 yards from us, so we get a plan split up & set up separately splitting a hammock between us. We weren't sure which side he'd fly down to. Well, I had a jake come flying into my set, & my cousin had the big gobbler land in his lap! He shot & we met back up. We had 2 more gobbling down at the other end of the block, so we go. After about an hour of silence one gobbles again & he'a within 75 yards. 2 hens come out first, and they were spooky! He closed fast and ate some heavyshot at 30 yards. Great morning in Florida!!
