Went out this afternoon to roost me a bird for in the morning.

Was pulling out and saw some orange eyes right off the road on the edge of a plowed up field. Got close and shined my brights.

Size wise it was about the size of a possum but with a completely different build. Smaller than a raccoon. Fur was one color, nearly black. Wasn't a possum or raccoon. Had more of the build of a bobcat but smaller. If I were to guess I would say a juvy bobcat but I have no idea what time of year there would be young.

I have almost no experience with hunting predators at nighttime and I don't know what color eyes a bobcat would have.

Note: This area has a couple houses about a mile away. I have never seen any dogs or cats where we hunt and I did not feel like this was a kitty cat.

What yall think it was?
