Little SB has been wanting to try and get a deer with his bow this year but I've held off as I wasn't sure he could pull it off. Well this week I told him if he could use a climber that I thought I could get him a shot at one. Thursday after school we hit the woods and I pack in another climber and he goes up a tree 2 feet from my tree. This broke rack fork comes by and he drills him at 15 yards. We watched him run off with the arrow penetrating about half way then it snaps off on a tree. At this point were both shaking like a leaf but I told him the best thing to do was climb down, back out and come back tomorrow. My father and I went back this morning and found him in the creek 150 yds from the stand. I honestly couldn't be any happier for or prouder of my son. This has been an awesome year hunting now that our whole family has bow killed bucks. Welcome to the club!
