it would have been cozy for the fellers in this room had they had a rip-roaring fire going during the night (there were two places in the house where one could receive one bar of service on the cell phone. right by this fireplace was one):

i was the only girl (lady, female) there so it was only proper that pete and i choose this room so's i could have my privacy...only, there were no interior doors in the house 'cept fer the privy . (the second place one could receive cell service was directly atop the nightstand where the lamp is. place phone on stand, make call when service established and leave it there during conversation):
