Honeymooned there 24 years ago & my wife takes me back whenever I will go. First will discuss food. If you like she crab soup, I would recommend 82 Queen. Award winning and my favorite. Crab Shack on Market street is good as is Amen Corner and Hymen's for seafood. Cannot remember the bakery name on Market street but it is excellent for desert.

Market Street seems to be a must for the ladies. Kind of an upscale, open air flea market. The city museum is time well spent and I enjoyed viewing the Hunley. Fort Sumter is basically a pile of rubble in the middle of the bay (most see it once because of its historic significance). Patriots point is very cool. If you enjoy antebellum architecture pick a few plantations and townhouses to tour.

A carriage tour will earn brownie points. They are assigned zones as you leave so you never know which area you will see.

Very laid back town. Great for simply walking around the historic district.
