reports are that, as of this morning, Ober Gatlinburg has been destroyed (per a local news station). also hearing that a lot of the chalet neighborhoods up Ski Mountain Road have heavy damage (many just gone). The article I read said it was "approaching the Park Headquarters" (Sugarlands Visitor Center) but didn't mention any damage to it (yet).

Apparently a lot of the homes and buildings up Airport Road, behind the space needle and heading up toward the Park Vista and Roaring Fork, have burned or are burning. Knoxville News Sentinel is reporting the Park Vista is "on fire" but hasn't said to what extent.

The entire Spur (area between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge) has apparently burned or is in the process of burning.

The chair lift in town in Gatlinburg is reported to have been destroyed and one article I read said the old Gatlinburg Inn next to it may have been damaged but not sure to what extent...
