Yes, because it is quite evident that the government is not going to do its job, and they are here to stay. If they are gonna be here anyway, I would rather them not all be illiterate.
So the states and federal government should be the ones to teach them?
What about the parent's role in teaching their own children or providing for their education? Would a private school or home education be a better non-taxpayer choice?
