We might have crossed paths I rafted the Ocoee Saturday. That's a beautiful country up that way, go by Mercier Orchards and get some fried apple pies!
I'm telling you... If we could have figured out a way to build a cabin up there that is where we would have built one, but it's just too far away to build your own cabin. Which is why we ended up building one an hour and a half away on Lookout Mountain.
If I was to live anywhere but Alabama, it would be Western North Carolina.
Mrs. Irish took her 80 year old Mom up to a B&B near Ashville, and Irish Jr. and I met them at Mt. Pisgah and they followed us down to Brevard for lunch. She brought back some nice Honey Crisp Apples.
