Local rumor has it that there was some 'turkey research' going on that involved a researcher that was particularly adamant about trying to find an endangered species.
The straw that broke the camels back. Heck, all they had to do was ask Len if there were any pine snakes on the property. If they are there he probably knows where they are likely to be seen.
