Gomer I have never heard of anyone that I know if, with a diesel that is, to have any problems with the transmissions. The Allison is pretty good. Now for the gas burner I have no idea.
These days if you can do it yourself it would be best to buy the body style you like, put a cummins motor in it and an Allison tranny and you would be good to go for a while.
Only accurate rifles are interesting.
