Lots of folks don't take well gettin punched in the nose, even when they are wrong. Situation could have escalated badly with guns present. Have dealt with theses situations a long time. USUALLY talking works, but ignorance is never an excuse; you are obligated to err on YOUR side of the line if you don't know for sure where it us.
