I worked as long as I can remember. Started cutting grass, raking leaves, etc. when I was 9 or 10. Then I had a paper route, had 2 at one time for a while from 10 or 11. I was raised to know that if you wanted something, you had to work to get the money to pay for it. Then I started bagging groceries at 16 and saved enough to but my first car, a 1957 yellow/white Pontiac Chiefton. It was a thing of beauty.
I have four grandchildren that have never worked a day in their life and the oldest is a junior in college. Different world we live in now
