I ended my season this year without killing a buck. I don’t recall the last time that happened or if it ever has. I’m not at all mad at ‘em though or disappointed. All in all, this might be the most I’ve enjoyed hunting season since I was kid. The older I get, the less and less hunting becomes about killing something or trying to reach some hunting goals we’ve set for ourselves or allowed society to impose on us. It’s just been over the last few years that I’ve come to the realization that’s its more about enjoying the moment with those folks you get a chance to share the memories with. Maybe this realization can only come to someone through your own personal experiences and as time goes by…..but I would encourage anyone out there to take the pressure off yourself and just go hunting. smile
