i have killed a pile of deer with them. They are great till they aint. I switched to Ramcats. Sounds like they have worked for you very well and probably poor shot placement changed your mind. A rage ain't going through bone. Everybody makes a bad shot every now and then. Plan for the worst, hope for the best, shoot fixed blade I've disproved that theory several times. But I've also had it not go as well. I think if you hit a certain spot in that shoulder it don't make a crap what your slinging out of a bow, it ain't going through.
