It probably won't last. Eventually the constantly changing humidity will pull the detail areas. Even if the hide was tanned and prepped correctly dermestids will probably infest it as well and start causing hair slippage. Timeframe for damage depends on how well the mount was done. Charles has answered. Might as well go ahead and lock this thread... THE expert has spoken!
