The Ford should have a Schrader valve on the fuel rail - I believe Autozone will loan you a fuel pressure gauge.

FYI -

Removing the bed is the easiest way to replace the fuel pump - get a friend, impact wrench, flat head screwdriver, hammer, some 4x4 blocks of wood to prop the bed while tilting - don't forget to disconnect the lights from the wiring harness. Click here on how to test fuel pump.
