The PH had no lion "on quota" in that consession, thats like closed season. No lions can be legally killed.

The "collar" can be hard to see in hunting conditions, but I cannot believe that PH Bronkhurst didn't know what he was doing.

THAT lion should of never been shot by a hunter because of the outraage by the public that would, and did, come about.

The hunter has more to worry about than a bad press. He violated Zimbabwe law and therefore USFWS Lacy Act.

Also the consession was one of the seized properties Americans are not allowed to hunt on legally, per USFWS, because the land was taken illegally and current "owners" do not have legal cause to allow anyone to hunt that land.

BIG FUBAR all around......
