Carbon deteriorates at a constant rate.
To pretend that carbon dating is a fact of science is misguided. There are many many questions surrounding the accuracy of carbon dating. There has been an every increasing list of things dated to be millions of years old that have since been found to be not nearly as old as dated by this method. One is the dinosaur bone that was found to contain soft tissue. Which is another rule of science which is in conflict with the carbon dating. Soft tissue cannot (according to science) remain in that condition for millions of years. Instead it appears to be thousands of years old not millions. This is just one example of many...
