freaking get a lottery. That is the easiest, most surefire way to gain revenue. Ditto. Texas wants to raise taxes but refuses to even consider casino gambling. But drive through the Oklahoma, Louisiana, and New Mexico casinos and count the number of cars with Texas tags. I remember when they finally allowed the lottery in Texas and there were folks fussing about it then. The great thing about Texas, though, is that there is no state income tax or tax on groceries! I miss that living here now. Alabama loses lots of potential revenue every day by not having a lottery/casinos other than the ones the Creek Indians have. Folks who want to participate will regardless of what any well meaning group of people do to prevent any possible addiction to it.
