My wife said it's pretty common for judges to have dress codes in their courtroom. Although she did say arresting him was not the norm they usually send them home or make them leave the courtroom. She also said unless the judge instructed the bailiff to leave the cuffs on it usually up to the bailiffs (or other officer) to take the cuffs off. he WAS NOT arrested. He was ILLEGALLY detained. He was not cited, given mirnda... Sorry for the wrong word. You don't have to be arrested to be placed in cuffs. Yes his situation sounds wrong and I would be mad as hell too. He may have a case too. Civil Contempt doesn't require an "arrest" Call the Alabama Hammer
