i don't know but they can catch the hell at of flying grass hoppers . we use to have a pair that flew around the tractors on the farm i worked . very pretty colors on them . I think you're talking about an American Kestrel, not a Coopers Hawk like pictured here. way be , but the look like that one . kinda small/ medium with pretty blues and gray colors brownest breast .
