Got off a couple hours early today. Hunted within a pine grove down in a saddle. Been in stand about 15 minutes and didn't like the way I was set up. Adjusted from looking south to looking north and flipped stand around on tree. Glad I did. About 20 minutes later, saw movement to the northeast of where I was sitting. Noticed it was a racked buck but couldn't tell just yet his size. He worked towards me for a few minutes and was able to get my scope on him and tell he was a shooter. Turned broadside at 95 yards and I took the shot. Two front legs went to ground while his hind legs pushed him along. Ran about 30 yards down a raven and I heard him crash. Found him easily and noticed the shot was straight thru the heart and through his left front leg. Entrance and exit hole was big around as a quarter shooting a 140 grain 7mm-08 . Never seen an entrance hole that big. Weighed 170 before field dressing.

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
