I have not shot the Savage. I have shot a Ruger in 243Win, with sub sonic ammo it sounded like a 22cb cap shell. The bullet impact made a LOT of noise. This ^ Had a chance to shoot a suppressed .308 and was loaded with a 220 grain RN bullet. Very quiet but could definitely hear the thwack on the other end.
"Cull" is just another four letter word...
