How easy is it to slide this attachment strap up the tree as you climb in a climbing stand?

I'll probably get the short one but I had a thought about the 30 foot treestrap with the prussik knot. If you had this one attached with the 30 foot rope, and your stand fell, would it be possible to use it to get to the ground? I was just thinking that if you could hug the tree and release the pressure on the knot enough to slide it some, you might be able to hug and slide down the tree a little at a time. It certainly wouldn't be easy or practical, but do you think it would be possible?

In this line of thought, what if you put a couple of tree steps in your pack so you could screw one in and stand on it to release the weight so you could slide the knot down and do it again just lower this time?
