Monday morning I was caught off guard by a very nice mature 8 point that came in from my back right. I was able to get in position to take a shot pretty quickly with no issues. Then he takes a right going to my left which I couldnt have planned any better. As soon as he presented me with a shot I gently drew back watching my arrow. I look up to see that he's busted me so I panicked and made a split second decision and took the shot.

Turns out I used the wrong pin due to my panicked shot and I think he jumped the string as well. As a result I missed high clean. He takes off like he's seen a ghost.

With that being said. I need some advice on hunting him now after screwing up that opportunity. My plan was to go back in the area after a week or so and change trees about 100 yards away. Thoughts? Any advice?
